Choose electronic ballast with "Instant Start" or "Preheat Start"?

Instant Start: At the moment of startup, high-frequency and high-voltage are applied to the electrodes of the UV lamp, directly breaking through the inert gas inside the lamp tube to form an arc. There is no need to preheat the electrodes. The rated light output intensity can be reached within 0.1 to 1 second after power-on.

Preheat Start: At startup, power is first supplied to the electrodes at both ends of the UV lamp through the ballast (low voltage, high current) to preheat the electrodes for 1 to 3 seconds. After the electrodes emit sufficient hot electrons, the working voltage is applied to form a stable arc, and the light output is gradually increased to the rated level.
