🌟Avoid these 3 common skincare mistakes
1. Wrong use of hyaluronic acid
As we all know, hyaluronic acid deserves all praise as a super moisturizer. By extracting water from the air, it can hold up to 1,000 times its own weight. However, if you use hyaluronic acid in the winter, remember one thing: always use a moisturizer to lock the ingredients in the skin barrier. If you don't do this if you are in a dry, cold environment-hyaluronic acid will dig up moisture from deep in the skin rather than from the surface. This will further consume moisture and cause the skin to be drier than it was at the beginning. It is a good practice to always apply a moisturizer on your serum, but especially in dry environments where humidity is lacking.
2. Improper product storage
We do not recommend placing your product in a place that is too hot or too humid. Most products are good in the naturally cool and warm temperature range throughout the year, but if they are exposed to direct sunlight in hot weather, they will heat up and inactivate instantly. It is more difficult to pay attention to temperature control when traveling, but pay special attention to active ingredients such as vitamin C, prescription retinol, antioxidants, and ultraviolet filters.
3. Make the product obsolete
You will usually see the date of skincare products, but this is not a hard and fast rule-some unopened products will be used indefinitely, and some products will expire much sooner than indicated after you start using them. Note the time since you opened the product and exposed it to light or oxygen. Generally, if your product contains ingredients that are sensitive to light or oxygen, then its product design will reflect this. In any case, please pay attention to products with open lids or transparent packaging; their shelf life may be earlier than similar products that are opaque and pumpable.
