Last month, straight after our very exciting week in Oulu, the Mingle team travelled down south to continue amazing discussions with companies and other partners in Tampere and in the Helsinki region. Trips to Finland are immensely valuable for us as it allows our team to meet all the inspiring companies face to face, chat about the prospects for Chinese markets together, and even try some of these companies' products in person - as you can see we totally had to do at Neurosonic's Helsinki showroom! Indeed, we had the wonderful chance to meet CoreHW leadership in Tampere, visit Neurosonic's showroom space in Vallila and chat about China markets with Artur Surov from Myllyn Paras and meet our close advisors Markus Tammi and Kevin Feng with excellent tips going forward. We also had very fruitful discussions online with companies such as Optitune and Saha Training.

Besides these inspiring, promising and exciting company meets and chats in Finland, we have also mapped some further projects to start proceeding with in Finland, both internally in our company and with our partners. We believe 2024 is going to be an exciting year for Mingle, both in Finland and in China.

Mingle Advisors was visiting in Oulu last week and the days were extremely rewarding for us. On Wednesday we participated in the Team Finland Talks: Navigating China Markets at Business Oulu, where we had a chance to hear from Anu Vuori and Timo Kantola, Consul Generals of Finland from Shanghai and Hong Kong, and Marko Tiesmäki, Business Finland's China director. Good dialogue with the audience about growth opportunities in China, information on Team Finland's China focus for the upcoming year and a chance to catch up with new and old friends. Beyond the Team Finland event our Mingle team participated in exciting on-site company visits and had many fruitful talks about future Sino-Finnish business collaboration all week with different companies and Business Oulu folks who we are also honoured to continue our collaborating with in this year.

As soon as we landed in Oulu and had initial discussions at Business Oulu over some tea, the sentiment in our table was the same: the interest of Oulu companies in Chinese markets is only increasing in the post-pandemic circumstances. We definitely share the sentiment and our confidence in Oulu companies' interest in China is growing more and more as we keep meeting all the wonderful companies in Oulu.

A fascinating and exciting start of the in Shanghai. First day spent mainly in the booth, with , American embassy and consulate, American food and agriculture companies. Exciting discussions and much lessons-learnt. Discussing eg on bringing American delegations from to China, needs of the farmers and expectations of the Chinese market, the -American dynamics and opening up, Finnish-American cooperation, and much more…

Great-tasting from Texas, world-class and cheese, new government initiatives - and priceless advice and ideas for Mingle Advisors and Finnish partners how to develop with the American companies in China. Experienced Ambassador R. Nicholas Burns emphasized for dozens of bustling Chinese (and American) media, that the U.S. does not want decoupling with China, but to the trade on both sides.

Much stuff on-going. You do get the feeling there’s a here again in the Sino-American relations. “We’re practical and we see a good win-win here for the American farmers and the local consumers”, said one exhibitor. Nice to discuss also with China.

P.S. Really great to eat lunch with Sean Stein. Rarely ever met a foreigner with such a great take, experience and wit about China and Chinese markets. Sean gave us some precious tips and advice. (As did ’s Patrick Martino). Happy to have our dear friend JT Martin, from Salt Lake City and IBR Advisors with us the whole day. It feels great to “spend a day in America” - and almost travel around the world - without even have to leave CIIE. CIIE is a highly government-sponsored event, and won’t fit every company, but it attracts a lot of industry , reps and high-level companies, and enables a place for interesting and insightful discussions with world-class business leaders.

Good talks particularly with Allan Chou, Dr. Martin from Sweden, Mayor of Salla and Seppo Selkälä; Selina, Elaine and the volunteers, Bambi and Vellu, and the Finnish Healthtech delegation hosted by Ira and Justin. Much stuff for one day! After a Long week in Hangzhou - and a day in Shanghai - now continuing to Jinan… ☺️✈️
