The difference between these two types of printing -digital printing & offset printing
1. The Traditional Offset Printing technology has been around for more than a century. In this process, the desired image is produced by burning it on printing plates. It is then transferred to a rubber blanket & then to the printing surface. The images are printed with wet ink. The entire process of Offset Printing takes a long period of time.
2. However, in the case of Digital Printing, it eliminates several mechanical steps which are required for conventional printing including making plates, manual tripping of pieces, making films & color proofs. The whole production of digital printing is processed directly from the digital files. It is the fastest way to produce a short run of prints.
3. In terms of quality, offset printing always had the upper hand but at present with advanced technology, digital printing has improved its quality a lot. It would be hard to differentiate the prints of the two different printing processes.
4. Even though offset printing technology is better for running a large number of prints economically, however, it cannot be denied that digital marketing balance the market value of both small & large enterprises with small target customers.
