⚡ **Before You Buy Cable, Check the Copper Price First.**

After working with overseas customers, I have encountered something quite interesting many times:

Some customers send us quotations from other suppliers that are **far lower than we believe the copper cost can reasonably support.**

At this point, I always ask myself:

**How can the cable be produced at this price?**

For cable buyers, especially **large distributors, utility procurement managers, contractors, construction companies and businesses that consume cables in large quantities**, I strongly recommend checking the international copper market before comparing quotations.

Why?

Because copper is a major cost component of many electrical cables.

The international copper market is a relatively transparent global market. Although different regions may have different premiums, logistics costs, taxes and other factors, **the basic copper price does not suddenly become dramatically cheaper simply because the cable is produced in another country.**

This is something I have personally experienced in the export market.

Sometimes, a customer tells me:

> “Your price is too high. Another supplier can offer much less.”

But when we compare the quotation with the current copper market, something doesn't seem to add up.

So I believe buyers should ask more questions:

🔍 Is the conductor really made from the specified copper?
🔍 Is the actual conductor cross-section compliant?
🔍 What is the copper weight per kilometer?
🔍 What insulation and sheath materials are being used?
🔍 Does the cable meet the required standard?
🔍 Has the finished cable been properly tested?

**A low quotation is not necessarily a bad quotation.**

But when the price is **far below what the raw material cost reasonably suggests**, I believe it deserves serious consideration.

A cable is not just a commodity sold by the meter.

It carries electricity for **factories, buildings, mines, power systems and infrastructure**.

If the cable fails, the cost can be much higher than the difference between two quotations.

At **Jinzong Cable**, we don't promise to be the cheapest supplier.

We prefer to be a supplier whose customers can understand **what they are buying and why they are paying that price.**
