45R32 Button Bit Successfully Passed Extreme Load Test in F12–F14 Granite Rock

Can a small DTH drill bit handle extreme hard rock drilling conditions?

We tested our self-manufactured 45R32 thread drill bit with 10mm gauge buttons in F12–F14 granite rock in Pingtan, China.

Test Conditions:
🔹 Rock hardness: F12–F14 Granite
🔹 Drilling angle: 30° inclined hole
🔹 Drilling depth: 3 meters
🔹 Machine: FURUKAWA HCR9-DS
🔹 Bit diameter: 45mm

The challenge: The HCR9-DS is normally used for 64mm–76mm drilling applications. Using a 45mm bit under this heavy-duty condition created higher impact and load stress.

Test Results:
✅ No cracking
✅ No abnormal wear
✅ Stable performance after high-load drilling

This test proves the excellent durability, wear resistance, and reliability of our 45R32 button bit in ultra-hard rock applications.
