MADfriends｜at WAGON, Miyazaki 🌊
Rather than the busy streets of big cities, we’re always drawn to stores deeply rooted in local culture.
Located in Wakakusadori, Miyazaki, WAGON has been part of the local community for more than 30 years.
For WAGON, the idea of “Field” goes beyond nature itself. The sea, mountains, rivers, city streets, offices and homes are all part of everyday life.
This philosophy has shaped their original brands, WAGON and Short pants every day, as well as their approach to creating products that move naturally between different environments and activities.
Just three minutes from the ocean, WAGON operates its own sewing factory, where materials, patterns and production are handled as closely as possible to the people and place they call home.
We share a similar perspective.
At the MAD HATcher, we’ve always believed that good products shouldn’t be defined by a single setting. Between city and outdoors, function and style, we continue to design for everyday movement.
This June, we’re heading from Shanghai to Miyazaki.
Bringing our hats and bags inspired by cycling, travel, outdoor activities, sports and everyday wear, we’re excited to meet a city shaped by sea breeze, mountains and a slower rhythm of life.
We hope our products can become part of daily life in Miyazaki, adding a touch of color and thoughtful functionality to ordinary moments.
