From May 26 to 29, 2025, Shanghai Precision Dosing & Weighing System Co., Ltd. made a remarkable appearance at the 34th China International Glass Industry Technology Exhibition (China Glass 2025) in Beijing. Breaking News: Harry Sha Delivered Keynote Speech at Glassman Europe 2025, Highlighting Innovation in Glass Industry

ISTANBUL, TURKEY — Harry Sha, Managing Director of Shanghai Precision Dosing and Weighing System, captivated audience with a keynote speech at the Glassman Europe 2025 exhibition, which was held from May 14 to 15 at the Istanbul International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Harry highlighted innovations in batch house for modern glass production – originating from customized design on selecting the fittest batch plant type & frame/silos, optimal furnace to batch plant ratio, accurate weighing methods & mixer selections, and advanced cullet treatment techniques that fulfill differentiated production needs. He also emphasized the trend on eco-friendly production methods, showcasing advancements in energy-efficient glass processing technologies.

The presentation was followed by a productive Q&A session, sparking deep-dive discussions on nuances in technical design and practical methods to further enhance efficiency and accuracy of the batch plant.

Frigo Glass Hits Milestone with Delta Plant's Successful Launch

In September 2024, Frigo Glass Group's Delta plant in Nigeria reached a significant milestone with the completion of a 250-ton batch house and cullet return system upgrade. We extend our warm congratulations to the successful system startup at the Delta facility and look forward to achieving even greater success in our future collaboration.

Frigo Glass Group is one of the largest glass bottle manufacturers in Africa, specializing in the production of bottles for beverage, cosmetics, and refrigerators, etc. The group's Nigerian subsidiary, Beta Glass, focuses on production of beverage bottles.

To address the growing demand for high-quality glass bottles in the African market, Beta Glass invited Shanghai Precision to upgrade and conduct cold repair of the batch transfer and cullet return system at the Delta factory. After onsite inspection, Shanghai Precision redesigned the batch transfer and cullet return system with new equipment and optimized the control system with latest automation technology, which improves batching as well as weighing accuracy of cullet.

Despite the tight schedule reserved for cold repair, Shanghai Precision's project team kept close contact and collaborated with Beta Glass to complete the design, fabrication, delivery and onsite commissioning both timely and efficiently. CPIC-Brazil F01B Line Lighted After Successful Cold Repair and Upgrade

In July 2024, CPIC Brazil's F01B line, with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons of ECT glass fiber, resumed production after a successful cold repair and upgrade. The upgraded F01B line has integrated several state-of-the-art technologies for batching material, furnace operation, and slab energy savings, significantly enhancing production efficiency.

Shanghai Precision was entrusted for cold repair and upgrade of the existing batch system at the Brazilian plant, including equipment replacement, installation and commissioning of the batch system to supply batch for both F01B and F02 production lines. In addition to modifying the raw material storage system, Shanghai Precision redesigned the pneumatic conveying, weighing, mixing, and furnace storage systems, while ensured uninterrupted supply of batch to F02 line during the entire service period.

Given the tight project schedule and numerous tasks, Precision's project team worked closely with Brazilian technicians, optimizing solutions for dust control, precise weighing, and pipeline layout to meet performance standards and align with environmental, energy-saving, and intelligent manufacturing requirements.

This project required all system upgrade to be realized based upon the existing Allen-Bradley PLC system. Despite challenges from an outdated control system and lack of reference documents and drawings onsite, Precision's technical team leveraged experience from previous jobs for fiber glass and other industries globally and managed to provide an optimal solution not only met Brazilian standards, but also elevated system efficiency and intelligence for more competitive glass fiber production.

Throughout the project, Precision’s site managers worked promptly to resolve any site issue while maintained close communication with the customer, which led to the successful furnace light-up and smooth production running.

KCC Glass Indonesia's 1200 tons/day float glass furnace successfully lighted up

In October 2024, South Korean float glass manufacturer KCC Glass celebrated the successful light-up of the new furnace with a daily melting capacity of 1,200 tons in Indonesia. As the selected batch house supplier, Shanghai Precision Dosing and Weighing System Co., Ltd. ("Shanghai Precision") also marked this moment as a milestone for another successful delivery in Indonesia market.

After two years of inspection and negotiation, the customer decided that Shanghai Precision will be responsible for the batch house, and to undertake process design, equipment supply for raw material reception system, weighing system, mixing system, as well as provision of onsite installation supervision and commissioning services.
During installation and commissioning stage, site project team had to deal with challenging local weather conditions including intense rains and scorching heat, which caused some delay in the construction and er****on work. Nevertheless, our site managers overcame these challenges through close communication and efficient collaboration with KCC Glass and the er****on team, to ensure timely furnace light-up and production of high-quality batch.

KCC Group is South Korea's largest manufacturer of paints and building materials, with business operation around the world. Shanghai Precision has worked multiple times with the customer to provide raw material batch systems and equipment for its float glass and glass wool production lines in South Korea. We would like to congratulate the customer for the successful collaboration in Indonesia and look forward to continuous partnership for KCC Glass’s future production.
