🚗 What makes an LED truly automotive-grade? It's a question worth answering properly.
Not every LED that claims automotive-grade actually is one. A true automotive-grade LED is engineered from the ground up — application by application, test by test, process by process.
At Refond, that means:
🔵 Application-specific engineering — headlamps demand high brightness and thermal durability; in-vehicle displays need optical uniformity; ambient lighting requires color consistency and seamless interaction
🔵 AEC-Q102 qualification + CNAS-accredited in-house laboratory — 20+ reliability tests including -40°C to 125°C extreme temperature exposure, 1,000+ hours of high-temperature and humidity cycling, variable-frequency vibration and mechanical shock
🔵 Class 10,000 cleanroom manufacturing — IATF 16949 certified, VDA compliant, with end-to-end MES traceability and zero-defect standards from raw material to final delivery
Validation is the ultimate test. Manufacturing is the final one. Refond passes both — at scale, in volume, and in the supply chains of leading automotive suppliers worldwide.
Because on the road, there's no room for "close enough."
