Why use a rotary sprue mold? 🔄

Here’s a 2+2 cavity mold testing for HDPE adaptor of water treatment.

Mold details:

• 1.2344 steel
• Front mold: HRC 50–52
• Rear mold: HRC 48–50
• 2+2 cavities

The mold is designed around a rotary sprue system to support the molding process.

Large slider mold tiral.

Big part? Big mold? Not necessarily. 😄

But this part definitely needs BIG sliders.

This is a recent PC+ABS, 1-cavity mold trial.

➡️ Large sliders on both sides

Why the big sliders?

Because the part has complex side features that need to be released before the part can be ejected.
