Three installation mistakes we see again and again in the field.

Many solar pumping problems are not caused by the inverter. They start with how the system is installed.

Mistake 1: Wrong breaker on a three-phase circuit.
A 4-pole (4P) breaker disconnects all live conductors at once. Using fewer poles leaves conductors connected when the circuit trips — a burnout risk for the equipment.

Mistake 2: Float switch wired to the wrong terminals.
For tank control, the float switch wires go to the X2 and COM terminals. If the water level logic is reversed, it can be corrected in the settings — no rewiring needed.

Mistake 3: Long cable without an output reactor.
When the cable between inverter and pump exceeds 50 meters, leakage current and harmonics increase motor stress. An output reactor reduces both and extends pump life — on any brand.

Smart reuse of existing solar panels for a 2 HP submersible pump application.
In this field case, the customer connected 8 pcs 550W solar panels, previously installed for residential use, to a Solarseeker solar pump inverter. A rotary switch was used to switch the panel connection between home use and water pumping, helping save over 70% on additional solar panel costs.
System configuration:
2 HP submersible pump
3-phase 220V
8 pcs 550W solar panels
3-ton water tank for garden and house water use
Even with dusty panels and trees almost fully blocking the PV array at 4:55 PM, the inverter frequency had not dropped below 30 Hz, and water flow continued steadily.
