Xiaoman, meaning ”Grain Buds,“ is the 8th solar term in China’s 24-season calendar. It marks the time when summer crops (like wheat) start to plump up but aren’t fully ripe yet—hence ”small fullness.“
🌧 Weather: Expect more rain (perfect for crops!), rising temperatures, and humid days. Farmers busy watering fields.
🍵 Traditions:
Eat bitter herbs (like dandelions) to ”cool“ the body in summer heat.
