Growth doesn't usually break all at once.

It breaks quietly — in onboarding queues, compliance reviews, support backlogs, and operational bottlenecks that can't keep pace with revenue.

One of the biggest misconceptions in scaling companies is that operational strain is a hiring problem. But in high-stakes, regulated functions, adding headcount often just means you're solving last quarter's bottleneck.

Jen Spencer, our CGO, wrote about what actually happens when a business outgrows the operation that got it there — and why the answer isn't more resources. It's ownership.

If your teams are feeling the pressure between commercial momentum and operational capacity, read the full article.

You've seen us share about this before, and we're back because the work isn't done yet.

After typhoons pass through Siargao, the hardest part isn't the storm. It's the months after: damaged farmland, disrupted harvests, and communities trying to figure out how to keep food on the table.

Hope for the Island, Philippines is building a weather-resilient greenhouse to change that. A long-term solution so that no matter what the weather brings, people can keep growing.

We started this fundraiser a while back, and we're still pushing to get it across the finish line. To help make that happen, Booth is matching every dollar donated, so whatever you give goes twice as far.

If you've been meaning to contribute, now's the time.

Our Beyond the Booth series is back — Colombia Edition.

We've been in Colombia for three years. What started as one hire has grown into one of Booth's most integrated global hubs. This week, meet three of the people inside it.

Please meet:

👋 Iovanna Vargas — Talent Acquisition Senior Leader. She was Booth Colombia's first hire. Three years later, she's the one hiring everyone else. "I create job opportunities for people in Colombia and give companies the chance to discover what Colombian talent can do."

👋 Carlos Pedraza — Client Services Manager. He works with clients across industries, from managers to founders, making sure both sides of every engagement win. "It's a beautiful and rewarding job. The impact is high. We employ a lot of people, and there are a lot of people who benefit."

👋 Sergio Rivera — People Success Partner. He calls himself a bridge builder. He is the fiercest advocate for the Colombia team and a cultural translator for the global clients who work with us. "A win for a peer is a win for us all."

This is what a leadership offsite looked like for us this week. 🏔️

While in Whistler, Canada, our exec team spent a morning volunteering with the Whistler Community Services Society — inspecting donated food, unloading deliveries, repackaging bulk items into portions, and helping keep things running behind the scenes.

WCSS has been caring for Whistler's social health and wellness since 1989 — food, mental health, financial support, and outreach. Their belief is simple: food is integral to a community's overall health, and no one should have to go without. Last year, the food bank alone saw over 20,000 visits, marking a roughly 700% increase in demand since 2019.

Thank you to the WCSS team for the incredible work you do every day and for welcoming our leaders in.

Every operations leader at a growth-stage company is facing the same pressure right now.

Get ahead of agentic AI. Or get left behind.

There are two standard responses:

Move fast and risk breaking the functions your business runs on. Or move slow and watch a competitor restructure their entire CX team while you're still building consensus.

Both feel wrong. Because they are.

The real problem isn't adoption. It's that nobody handed operators a rubric for the hundred judgment calls that actually determine whether AI works in their function—where to trust the machine, and where to keep humans in the loop.

Jen Spencer, our CGO, wrote about why the operator judgment—not AI strategy—is your company's most valuable asset right now and how to lead with it.

Worth a read. Link in the comments.

One thing becomes clear pretty quickly in a room full of B Corps:
Nobody's there to talk about the badge.

The conversations are more operational than that. People talked about systems. Decision-making. Hiring. Where accountability breaks down as companies grow—and how they’re trying to build it back in intentionally. The decisions that don't have a clean answer.

Jamie Booth and Chris Mueller went to Milwaukee as attendees and sponsors at the B Lab Champions Retreat, surrounded by companies asking a better question than "How do we look responsible?"

How do we actually operate that way?

Where does AI actually belong in your operations? Most companies are sitting on workflows that could be 30-60% more efficient with the right human + AI model.

We built the AI Process Grader to give you a clear roadmap.

Answer a few questions about your current volume and manual steps, and we'll give you an automation readiness score and a recommended action plan.

The CHRO seat has never carried more complexity—or more importance.

AI is reshaping how work gets done. Global teams are rethinking how culture actually holds under pressure. And employees are asking for more—clarity, meaning, and something that lasts. The role is shifting in real time.

This is the category Booth is building for.

As a B Corp, we believe growth should strengthen both people and purpose. That belief is what brought us into partnership with Wednesday Women—a year-long commitment to spotlighting and supporting the women shaping the future of HR and talent. Through our Women in HR & Talent series and small, intentional gatherings, we’re showing up as a partner to this community.

This week in Dallas, that work came to life.

After SHRM Talent 2026, Leslie Greenwood of Wednesday Women, alongside Booth’s Elaine McAnally and Jen Spencer, gathered HR, Finance, and Ops leaders—each navigating their own inflection point. A rare and honest table.

Thank you to every woman who made it what it was.

Three years ago, we launched in Colombia with one goal in mind—to do it right from day one. That meant careful hiring, tight integration with our global teams, and a culture set up to scale.

Today, Booth Colombia has grown into a fully integrated part of our global teams, supporting clients across regions and taking on more specialized, high-impact work along the way.

We sat down with Suselle Mueller, our Colombia Country Lead, to talk about what those three years really looked like—from building the foundation to becoming a hub that’s now shaping how we expand globally.
