When I started my first business 15 years ago, I thought success was about making more money… Don’t get me wrong, building successful businesses has given me opportunities I could have never imagined growing up in a small town in northern Canada.

But somewhere along the way, my definition of success changed.

These days, success looks like being able to disconnect and disappear for a few days, take my dog somewhere beautiful, and enjoy the things that matter most. 👌

It’s having the freedom to prioritize my mental and physical health, spend time with people I care about, explore the world, and build businesses I’m genuinely passionate about.

I’ve never been into materialistic s**t or money, money will always come if you provide value to others. Fulfillment for me comes from helping other people create that same freedom for themselves.

Watching someone realize they have more options than they thought is an amazing thing. Helping them build a business that gives them more control over their time, their future, and the way they live their life.

The older I get, the more I realize real wealth isn’t measured by what you own.

It’s measured by how much control you have over your time. 👌 in the end “Life is all about the memories”.

It was good to be back home in Canada surrounded by family celebrating my father’s life. We had a wake for him, and I was beyond grateful for the amount of people who traveled from all over Canada to celebrate his life and share stories, laughter, and memories of the man he was. It made me realize just how deeply he impacted the people around him.

As a child, I could not have asked for a better role model to grow up watching and learning from. My father was a man of strength, discipline, integrity, and character. The type of man people respected not because he demanded it, but because of how he carried himself, treated others, and showed up for the people he loved. I only hope to become half the man he was.

I’ll forever miss the phone calls home telling him about my wild adventures and shenanigan, hearing him laugh, going for walks together, sharing stories, and spending time with him. Those moments that once felt ordinary now mean everything to me. 🙏

Life has a way of reminding us how important it is to be present. To slow down. To spend time with the people we love. To put the phone down, have the conversation, take the walk, share the laugh, and create memories while we still can. In the end, people will not remember the materialistic s**t that you owned or what your “status” was nearly as much as they will remember how you made them feel and the character you carried through life. My father was living proof of that. The amount of people who showed up for him spoke louder than words ever could.

Trading time for money has a ceiling.

A salary feels stable until it doesn’t, layoff, burnout, a company that decides it doesn’t need you anymore.

Most people assume building a business means quitting everything first.

When I started, I had two hours at night, sometimes three. That was it.
So I stopped pretending I needed more time and started using what I had.

Weekdays: product research. Find what’s already selling.
Weekends: prep and ship. Let Amazon handle the rest.

That’s not a grind. That’s a system running inside the life you already have.

Nobody wakes up one day with total freedom.

Unfortunately my father passed away suddenly last week. ❤️
My father was a simple man and the strongest role model a young boy could ask for. He taught me to stand up for myself, work hard, respect people, be well mannered, and handle your s**t no matter what life throws at you. He was the hardest worker I’ve ever known. A large portion of my personality is learned from him and that brings me happiness 🙏

When I look back on all my memories with him, I feel incredibly blessed because I honestly cannot think of a single bad memory I have of him. Only laughter, life lessons, adventures, and great times!

And knowing my father… he wouldn’t want people sitting around mourning him with sadness. He would want people sharing stories, laughing, and celebrating the life he lived.
