Hey Sugar Skull Bakery fans! As many of you know we thought we were leaving Colombia back in March. Then we didn’t. We moved to a new house in Sabaneta & I was pumped to begin offering a new business model, but my oven glitched as soon as we got here. After months of troubleshooting it remains unsolved & it has really slowed my re-opening process.
About 10 days ago, I got an acceptance letter to join the midwifery program at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. With this news, I’ve made the decision to slow down even further & close off my normal menu from ordering & only make myself available for custom cakes up through September 1!
I apologize for the roller coaster. I know many of you were anxiously awaiting my “grand re-opening,” but it just wasn’t in the cards for me. I have loved serving this expat community the past couple of years & look forward to my last few months helping make your occasions special with my delicious cakes.
As you can imagine, making an international move this big takes a lot of planning, time, organization, etc. So I will be spending our last (official) few months in Colombia preparing & also enjoying small trips seeing more of this beautiful country before we leave! I love you all & thank you for the support.
On to the next journey! ✌🏻✈️🇦🇺
