For example, the workers were delighted to assist you while showing and taking great pride in the company.
That level of experience as a customer leaves an impression on you.
𝐎𝐧𝐞, it creates a desire in you to want to return sooner rather than later. Two, it sparks a curiosity in you for what the personalities of management must be like.
You know the saying “happy wife, happy life”? It’s the same.
Creating a culture of “𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌” first can have a major impact on the success of your business.
For instance, today I was reading a devotional titled FOR the Team by .
He talked about the best ways to live out your purpose and be FOR your customer is to be FOR your team.
He said “it’s impossible to consistently be in favor of your customer when you’re consistently at odds with your team, because how the team is treated is eventually how the customer is treated.”
𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝.
If you’re a business owner, are you putting in as much effort to ensure your team is cared for as you do your customers?
Henderson goes on to say that to create a culture that is FOR the team, we should embody this 5-step continuous process that elevates the soft skills and emotional intelligence of a group.
1. 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲
2. 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲
3. 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲
4. 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲
5. 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐲
Here’s my breakdown of exactly what the 5-steps would look like for me:
1. Believe in your team in and outside of the company
2. Acknowledge not just for the new account they might have
landed, but maybe for speaking up during a meeting
3. Don’t just train your employee(s) to be great at their job, but
develop your employees to be the very best version of themselves
4. Listen to Understand and Implement
5. SHOW UP and Be Consistent
These can apply to every relational area of our lives if we think about it.

If you're a business owner, how do you nurture your team, even if it’s a team of one? 😉
I would love to hear in the comments.
