I set it as our mission at Ventures Chats to speak with entrepreneurs and founders from a wide variety of industries, geographies and culture backgrounds, because I deeply believe that the greatest learnings come from the greatest differences. Here are some of the highlights of my conversation (part 2) with Karla Chaves, co-founder of ecoins, LATAM´s first regional digital currency to reward recycling and other practices promoting sustainability.

Blockchain for recycling? Are you ready for it? Karla and her team not only designed a social business model that helps Ecoins to stay independent, flexible and sustainable, they also strive to tackle the issue of lack of data and traceability in this industry by deploying blockchain technology.

Karla also shared her view on how we as consumers can exercise the power in our hand, day by day, to be part of the circular economy and to drive changes that we ourselves would like to see in climate space.
