I am not particularly religious, I go to mass most weekends and I consider myself an average catholic.
I started reading a few years back three books with small daily lectures by Sarah Young, Jesus Calling, Jesus Always and Jesus Today. The two main lessons I have learned are:
1. To be grateful for everything, every minute, every day.
2. Jesus is always beside us.
I love the outdoors, especially the ocean and mountains, I enjoy kitesurfing, standup paddling, and mountain biking. When I practice those activities I find special freedom and I am always grateful for having health and the opportunity to enjoy so much the nature that I love.
In my mind, I always picture Jesus there with me, but not as a heavenly figure glowing and flying above me. Instead, I imagine him by my side doing the same activities that I do, enjoying them as I do. Somehow it gives me peace and I feel his presence in a very special way.
I decided to ask an artist to help me create that image I have in my mind in simple paintings. The videos and drawings on this page are the results of that effort.
I by no means want to be disrespectful presenting Jesus this way, but it is how I see him and connect with him.
I thought it may be interesting to share these unusual images, everyone is entitled to have a personal and special connection with Jesus.
I also thought that maybe there could be some other people out there that see him the same way, just beside them doing what they love.
