We are pleased to inform you that the XCO Balkan Championship will take place on 14 June 2026 in Čapljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the XCO Gradina Classic event. The competition is also listed on the UCI calendar as a Class 1 event.

It is with deep sorrow that we have learned of the passing of Vladimír Holeček (CZE), UEC President from 2001 to 2009, UEC Honorary President, and UCI Honorary Vice President.
As the Balkan Cycling Union, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the Union Europeene de Cyclisme (UEC), his family, and the entire cycling community. We share their grief during this difficult time.

Vladimír Holeček’s leadership, dedication to sport, and strong character have left an enduring legacy. He was a sincere friend of the Balkan Cycling Federation and the Balkan cycling community and our great support.
He will always be remembered with respect and gratitude.

May he rest in peace.

Today marks the final day of the UEC Track Elite European Championships in Konya, Turkey 🇹🇷

We send our congratulations to Türkiye Bisiklet Federasyonu for the excellent organisation of this event, and to all the Balkan countries that have participated in it.

This championship has been a true celebration of performance, collaboration and the shared passion for cycling. 👏

The Congress of the Balkan Cycling Union took place today in Turkey. We had the honor of welcoming David Lappartient, President of the UCI, and Enrico Della Casa, President of the UEC - Union Européenne de Cyclisme.

We would like to thank all 12 countries that were present at this event today. We are looking forward to meeting again next year in Montenegro at the next Congress.

As the Balkan Cycling Union, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC), his family, and the entire cycling community. We share their grief during this difficult time.
