Summer School (2017: September 18th to October 2nd)
During the two-week summer school program, students from Europe and Latin America have the opportunity to attend courses taught by professors from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin), as well as other reputed institutions. Students typically complete up to two courses from the subjects of Econom
ics, Business and Management, and Quantitative Methods. Courses are offered at both the graduate and undergraduate level, emphasizing not only a theoretical, but also an empirical and institutional approach. Exams will be offered in Cuba at the end of the summer school. The summer school program also includes cultural activities, including a German movie night, football cup and other initiatives, which allow students and alumni to take part in an intercultural exchange. Economic researchers and policy makers are invited to participate in the International Conference in Economics and Management (ICEM) in Havana, Cuba. The conference is organized by the Universidad de La Habana, Cuba and the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany.
