Into a place where there has been no discovery
A place she wasn’t sure existed.
An external colossal expanse ruptures
An internal claustrophobic lie.
The first thought: lies spare pain.
In the midst of abandonment,
Within a place of hush,
A place of muffled noise,
How can one renounce their secret storms?
The moon as the only beacon.
Eroding from each place she settles.
It’s hard to come back to something that won’t sit still.
Stillness has always been her enemy
The smell of running on her skin.
Her body, woven with the moon.
Trying to unwrap from all mistakes.
A torn wound mended, a torn moon mended.
She is free, hence why she is lost.
Who is more patient than the wind?
We can spend decades
Standing tall against her,
But eventually she will win and we topple over.
