Trust: the mission-critical aspect of remote working
Trust is a game-changer for the organizations exerting a powerful positive impact on key performance indicators such as retention, productivity, customer focus, and future success, predicting a total of 60% of the difference in companies’ business performance. In times of crisis, the importance of trust rises to a whole new level. Results from the 2019 Edelman Trust Barometer demonstrated that trusted companies are far more resilient in the face of crisis, experiencing shorter and less damaging crisis lifecycles. Trust also acts as a protective factor by reducing stress and negative coping strategies among employees. Thus, high trust levels can improve personal wellbeing and resilience in turbulent times. This is critical, considering that most of the people already started feeling anxious, distracted or stressed as a result of the disruption that the virus has caused.
