Position Overview: As a Transfer Pricing specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients through the complexities of global transfer pricing. You will be involved in preparing transfer pricing documentation, conducting economic analyses, and developing practical, strategic approaches to meet our clients' unique needs. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior professionals and to develop a deep understanding of transfer pricing regulations and their application.

Key responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports.
• Conduct detailed economic analyses and benchmarking studies to support transfer pricing policies and strategies.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement transfer pricing strategies that comply with local and international regulations.
• Engage with clients to understand their business operations and transfer pricing requirements.
• Stay abreast of global transfer pricing developments and changes in tax laws to provide insightful advice to clients.

Key Skills and Characteristics:
• University degree or similar
• 1-3 years of experience in tax, transfer pricing, or a related field, preferably in a consulting or corporate environment.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Proactive, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a collaborative environment.

Cyprus Transfer Pricing (TP) Simplification measures (updated)

Introduction
On 6 July 2023 the Cyprus Tax Department issued a circular (6/2023) that introduces simplification measures (simplified transfer pricing documentation and option to apply safe harbor rates) for taxpayers that are exempted from the obligation of preparing a TP Local file.

The simplification measures apply as from 1 January 2022.

These simplification measures relate to:

a. Simplified transfer pricing documentation requirements
b. Introducing safe harbor rates for certain types of transactions

These are further explained below.

Transfer Pricing (TP) “safe harbours” on related party financing transactions abolished.

On 5 January 2023 the Cyprus Tax department (CTD) issued a circular (1/2023) which terminates the application of “safe harbours” on back-to-back financing transactions with related parties. The termination applies from 1 January 2022 onwards.
