You understand it. So why canโt you speak it?
๐ฌ Youโve heard it before:
You understand everythingโฆ but when itโs your turn to respond, the words donโt come.
Thereโs a reason for that.
Your receptive vocabulary (what you recognize) is usually much stronger than your active vocabulary (what you can actually use).
And the gap between the two?
Thatโs where most learners get stuck.
๐ก Small tip:
Donโt just recognize words, use them.
Answer questions out loud.
Create your own sentences.
Practise real conversations (even short ones).
Knowing a word and being able to use it are two different skills.
