This year’s theme, “Intelligent Skies, Secure Seas: The AI Impact on ICT”, sparked valuable discussions around cybersecurity, digital resilience, and the growing role of AI in shipping operations.

A wonderful celebration today at the port of Limassol marking the 20th Anniversary of the “Adopt a Ship” Programme!

A pioneering initiative by the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, in cooperation with CYMEPA, the programme has successfully connected thousands of children in Cyprus with the world of shipping and bringing the industry closer to the next generation in a truly meaningful way.

Launched in 2006 with just 10 classes and 10 ships, it has grown remarkably over the past two decades. Its impact speaks for itself with 1,275 ships adopted” by school classes and over 25,000 students engaged with shipping.
