🚗🌿 Exciting News from the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works! 🌿🚗
We're thrilled to unveil the 📣 3rd Announcement of the Electric Vehicle Subsidy Program, led by Transport Minister Alexis Vafeadis. This initiative is a giant leap towards a greener, more sustainable Cyprus, aligning with the General Policy Framework for the Promotion of Electric Vehicle Use and the National Plan for Energy and Climate.
🔌💡 Key Highlights:
Funded by the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility, with a 🌍 total budget of €53 million.
Aims to reduce the environmental impact of transport, promoting vehicles with zero or low CO2 emissions and alternative modes of transportation. 🍃
Includes subsidies for the purchase of new zero-emission vehicles, scrappage schemes, and grants for electric bicycles. 🚲
👨👩👧👦 Subsidy Categories:
Private use, taxis, vehicles for people with disabilities, large families, commercial vehicles, small buses, microcars & motorcycles, and bicycles. 🚗🚕🚌
