A robot that works perfectly in the lab has solved half the problem.
The other half lives outside it. Uneven floors, changing light, dust, and people who never move the way a test script expects.
This is where most robotics ventures spend their real development time: closing the gap between a controlled demo and an environment nobody controls.
Planning for that gap from the first prototype saves a great deal of rework later.

Introductions happen in person. Problems get solved in the week they appear. Nothing romantic about it, it is simply faster.

In regulated markets, the product plan and the evidence plan are the same document.
Standards, testing protocols, clinical data and quality systems are not paperwork that follows a finished device. They shape what gets built, how it gets built, and which claims are permitted about it afterwards. Bringing that thinking forward into the design stage costs weeks. Leaving it until later costs redesigns.

The harder questions come first. What exactly is defensible, the method or the application? Which markets are worth the cost of entry? Whether freedom to operate has been checked before the engineering locks in.
