Supporting Hope and Making a Difference Together
This year, the event organized by the non-profit association “Ystera Irthe I Anoixi” (And Then Spring Came) was hosted at the PEK LTD offices, highlighting our continued commitment to supporting this meaningful cause and the individuals it serves.
As part of our longstanding annual tradition, PEK LTD proudly supports people affected by hematological cancer by purchasing the organization’s commemorative T-shirts for all employees. This initiative reflects our dedication to raising awareness, promoting solidarity, and contributing to the organization’s invaluable work.
The association’s main fundraising event will take place on 27 September in Limassol, featuring a variety of activities designed to raise awareness and generate essential funds in support of patients and their families.
Founded in 2015, “Ystera Irthe I Anoixi” is committed to providing both financial and practical support to individuals facing hematological conditions. Thanks to the generosity of the public and the unwavering efforts of its volunteers, the organization has made a significant impact over the years. Its contributions include funding life-saving transplant treatments abroad, supporting staffing needs within the Hematology Department at Limassol General Hospital, and providing vital medical equipment and resources that help enhance patient care.
In addition to its financial assistance, the organization actively promotes bone marrow donor registration, helping expand the network of voluntary donors and offering hope to patients in need of compatible matches. Its members include dedicated volunteers, healthcare professionals, patients’ families and friends, and, most inspiringly, survivors who have overcome these challenges and found their own personal “spring.”
A special highlight of this year’s gathering was the commemorative group photograph, which beautifully captured the spirit of unity, resilience, and hope shared by all participants. More than just a photograph, it serves as a lasting reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together with compassion and purpose, creating a positive and meaningful impact on the lives of others.
