𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗮 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 | 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀

The Municipality of Larnaca, in collaboration with ALA Planning Partnership Consultancy L.L.C., successfully concluded a series of public consultation meetings held on 1, 3 and 7 September 2026 in the Municipal Quarters of Livadia, Voroklini and Larnaca. The meetings formed part of the ongoing process for the preparation of the Larnaca Local Plan.
The meetings provided an opportunity to present the planning process, discuss the key principles guiding spatial and urban planning, review the existing planning zones, and address the main challenges and opportunities shaping the future development of the Municipality.
A key element of the meetings was public participation and dialogue. Residents and stakeholders were invited to share their views, concerns and suggestions, contributing valuable perspectives to the ongoing planning process.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 | 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗮–𝗜𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

As part of the ongoing preparation of the Nicosia Local Plan, the South Nicosia–Idalion Municipality, in cooperation with our Office, organised a series of public consultation meetings on 10, 13, and 14 July 2026. The meetings took place at the Idalion Amphitheatre and were dedicated respectively to the Municipal Quarters of Pera Chorio, Nisou, and Potamia; the Municipal Quarter of Idalion and the Municipal Quarters of Lympia and Alambra.

The consultation meetings were held to present the objectives and progress of the Nicosia Local Plan, outlining the planning process, the core principles of urban and spatial planning, the existing planning zones, and the key planning considerations affecting the Municipality's future development.

The meetings concluded with an open discussion, during which residents, landowners, users, and other stakeholders had the opportunity to raise questions, express their views, and provide comments and recommendations on matters relating to the planning and sustainable development of the Municipality.

The meeting aimed to inform residents, property owners, users, and other stakeholders about the Local Plan preparation process, the key principles of urban planning, the existing planning zones, and the main issues influencing spatial planning as well as the future development of the Municipal Quarters of Latsia and Geri.

The event also provided an opportunity for an open discussion, during which participants shared their views, concerns, and suggestions regarding the planning and future development of the area.

Preparation of the Nicosia Local Plan | Public Meeting in the Municipality of Lakatamia

As part of the ongoing preparation of the Nicosia Local Plan, the Municipality of Lakatamia, in collaboration with our office, held a Public Meeting on Monday, 6 July, at the Events Hall of the 5th Primary School of Lakatamia.

The meeting aimed to inform residents, property owners, users, and other stakeholders about the Local Plan preparation process, the key principles of urban planning, the existing planning zones, and the main issues influencing spatial planning as well as the future development of the Municipal Quarters of Lakatamia, Tseri, and the Anthoupoli Settlement.

The event also provided an opportunity for an open discussion, during which participants shared their views, concerns, and suggestions regarding the planning and future development of the area.

Stakeholders and interested parties are invited to attend the Public Presentation for the EIA study for the construction and operation of a 2.03MW Photovoltaic Park and 2.382MWh Energy Storage Units in Aradippou Municipality.
The presentation will take place on Thursday, July 9th 2026, at 17:00, at the Historical and Folklore Archive Building of the Municipality of Aradippou.
The Preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment Study prepared for the above Project will be available in electronic form in the news section of www.alaplanning.com, until the 20th of July 2026.

Stakeholders and interested parties are invited to attend the Public Presentation for the EIA study for the Land of Tomorrow Masterplan. The presentation will take place on 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟐𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟔:𝟎𝟎, 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬: 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐬 𝟏, 𝟔𝟎𝟏𝟓 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐚).

The proposed project involves the construction and operation of the Integrated Large-Scale Mixed-Use Development “Land of Tomorrow”, which is located within the administrative boundaries of Larnaca, in the area of the former Oil Refineries.

The development consists of a large-scale mixed-use scheme comprising primarily residential, office, and commercial uses (retail shops), as well as soft leisure and recreational uses. In addition, the development includes the construction of an urban hotel with a conference/exhibition centre, as well as a luxury hotel unit.

The Preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment Study prepared for the above Project will be available in electronic form in the news section of www.alaplanning.com, from 14/05 to 29/05, for the purpose of submitting comments.

As part of the forthcoming revision of the Nicosia Local Plan, our Office has been appointed by the Municipality of Lakatamia to prepare the Municipal Council’s Planning Submission. The submission will cover the three Municipal Quarters of the newly established municipality: Lakatamia, Tseri, and Anthoupoli.

Οn February 5, 2026, the kick-off meeting between the Consultants and the Municipal Council took place. During the meeting, the Local Plan revision process was presented and discussed, along with the main planning and development characteristics of the Municipality, as well as preliminary views and planning proposals.

As part of the forthcoming revision of the Nicosia Local Plan, our Office—appointed by the Latsia–Geri Municipality to prepare the Municipal Council’s Planning Submission—successfully organized and delivered the 1st Public Consultation.

The event took place on 19 January 2026 at the Latsia Municipal Theatre and marked an important step toward a participatory, transparent, and forward-looking planning process. Our Planning Consultants presented the Local Plan revision process, highlighted the Municipality’s key urban and development characteristics, and facilitated an open and constructive exchange of views with local stakeholders and residents.

The strong attendance and the constructive preliminary proposals shared by participants reaffirm the importance of inclusive dialogue in shaping the future of the Municipality and supporting sustainable urban development.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐈𝐀 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 (𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢 – 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐧𝐢)

The Public Presentation and Consultation for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the proposed Coastal Tourist Road (Latchi – Limni) was successfully held on Monday, 12 January 2026, at the Conference Hall of the Polis Chrysochous Municipality.

During the event, the project description and the key findings of the environmental studies were presented, followed by a constructive exchange of views with representatives of local authorities, organized stakeholders, and members of the public.

We would like to thank all participants for their valuable contributions and engagement, which are an essential part of the environmental assessment and consultation process.

On 22 January 2026, the ALA Planning team came together to celebrate the close of another successful year. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our achievements, recognise the dedication of our people, and strengthen connections across the team.
