We collaborate with partners globally to bring the best technology to the scientific community. For more than twenty five years the PSI team of skilled employees have been integrating extensive expertise in optics, electronics and software to develop innovative, ever-broadening range of high-end scientific instruments. 80 % of employees have higher education (PhD, master degree etc.). PSI operate

s from a large scale manufacturing and research facility in Brno, Czech Republic. Our staff, of over 80 personnel, includes numerous plant scientists with advanced degrees, including several PhD level researchers who publish their findings using PSI equipment in top-ranked journals.We encourage our clients to visit our facility and to carry our proof of concept experiments using our equipment. We are always keen to collaborate with researchers, and to assist in experimental design Everyday contacts with researchers are the basis of our policy of continuous development.Company combines and uses its knowledge of biology in developing new innovative instruments. 🌱 News from our Research Center!

New study explores how plant growth-promoting microorganisms (PGPMs) influence wheat growth and responses to water deficit, using high-throughput phenotyping to assess root and shoot traits is now available https://doi.org/10.1002/ppj2.70098.

A great collaboration with Christian Lorenz, PhD student University of Naples Federico II from his stay at our research center. Great to see this research coming together!

We are at in Liverpool!

We are pleased to be part of the International Conference on Photosynthesis Research 2026 (ICPR26), taking place 26–30 July at ACC Liverpool.

The conference opened on Sunday, 26 July, and brings together a large international photosynthesis community, with up to 600 participants including the associated satellite meetings.

Another fantastic Plant Biology 2026 conference comes to a close!

It was a pleasure connecting with researchers from across the United States, Canada, and around the world. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Photon Systems Instruments stand to discuss your research, our technologies, and the many exciting applications in plant phenotyping, photosynthesis research, and controlled environment agriculture.

Dr. Edhem Čustović, Director of our North American operations, was present throughout the conference to meet researchers, discuss their work, and explore how PSI technologies can support current and future research applications.

It was especially rewarding to showcase not only our instrumentation, but also some of our latest research into AI-powered phenotyping, including advances in image segmentation, leaf tracking, and automated trait extraction. The combination of cutting-edge hardware and intelligent data analysis is opening exciting new possibilities for plant science.

A big thank you to everyone who visited, asked questions, shared ideas, and explored opportunities for future collaboration. We look forward to continuing these conversations and seeing many of you again at future conferences.

100 delegates from 22 countries came together in Brno, Czech Republic for an incredible few days at ! 🌱🔬

The 4th International Plant & Algal Phenomics Meeting (IPAP 2026) has officially concluded, and what a conference it was.

Over four days, more than 100 delegates from 22 countries came together in Brno, Czech Republic, to share ideas, challenge thinking, build new collaborations and explore the future of plant and algal phenotyping.

On the last day of the conference we toured our R & D facilities.

We spent several hours inspecting different technologies, from root phenotyping systems to large scale PlantScreen phenotyping systems. We spoke to key experts on the topics and discovered new automated screening platforms for Algae and a tractor mounted FieldScreen. What an amazing closing to
