Czechia has once again been recognised as one of the safest countries globally. In the Global Peace Index 2025, which evaluates peacefulness across 163 countries, the Czech Republic ranked 11th 🥇.

This reflects strong societal stability, low conflict, and high public security. In other international safety and travel indexes, Czechia also ranks highly, such as 6th place in some global rankings.

These results confirm Czechia’s reputation as a secure destination for living, working, and relocation.

Hospitals are now expected to follow the delivery woman’s wishes regarding the presence of a partner or doula 👩‍❤️‍👨, who provides both emotional and professional support. Women can also choose their preferred birthing positions 🤰.

This guidance helps reduce stress and uncertainty, supporting the emotional well-being of mothers and contributing to a calmer, more positive birth experience. It reflects a broader commitment to recognising patient choices and ensuring supportive maternity care within the healthcare system. Previously, some hospitals charged for these requests; this is no longer allowed ✅.
