After approval:
After a positive decision there are two possible scenarios.
For citizens who require a visa
• the applicant schedules an appointment at the Hungarian consulate
• receives a Type D visa
• travels to Hungary
• provides biometric data
• receives a 2-year residence permit card
For visa-free nationals or applicants already in the EU
• the applicant travels to Hungary
• provides biometric data
• receives the 2-year residence permit card
The residence permit card is issued by the immigration authority and sent to the employer’s address.

Minimal document package:
• copy of all passport pages
• digital photo 3.5 × 4.5
Additionally signed:
• employment contract
• two powers of attorney
