The living and subsistence minimum amounts will increase by 5.2 percent from January 2023. If you need to prove your income in order to apply for or extend your residence permit, please be advised that you will now be required to prove a higher minimum income.

When applying for permanent residence as non-EU citizen one of a mandatory requirement of the application is a Czech language exam certificate.

According to current legislation, you must take an exam level A2.

For easy preparation for passing the Czech language exam, I highly recommend contacting our lovely colleague Františka at [email protected]

Her lessons also include information about Czech culture and history, you can choose if you want to focus on grammar, conversation etc.. Different approach based on your mother language (experience with students with Slav background, English, German, French or Spanish)

If you have an EU partner (you don´t have to be married), you have the right to apply for a partnership visa. It is just necessary to prove that you have been in a long-term relationship.

A recent amendment to the law distinguishes whether the applicant is a so-called immediate family member or an extended family member.
