Discover Pleats Please Issey Miyake in Prague’s Blackout store

The concept was born from a single radical idea — garments pleated only after they are fully sewn.

PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE has been redefining wearable design since 1993. Lightweight, easy to wear and machine-washable, each piece adapts to the wearer’s body and movement for a one-of-a-kind silhouette.

Artspeak is proud to have introduced Pleats Please to the Czech audience

It’s been exactly a year since we officially opened the hotel and restaurant.

We stood alongside the client during its pre-opening period, all the way from the first booking announcement to the opening celebration event, which we organized for three hundred guests, followed by a series of dinners for VIPs, press, the hospitality community, and key opinion leaders from Prague.

Below, we share a selection of top-tier press coverage highlighting the unique character, design and hospitality experience that have made Sir Prague one of the city’s most distinctive destinations.

As we close this chapter of our 2025 cooperation, we would like to thank the international team of for sharing their vision with us.

Carpet as Art

The work of Eduardo Chillida, one of the most important figures of late 20th-century art, has been translated into a unique eponymous collection of handwoven rugs by the Spanish brand .

Large-scale rugs and tapestries made from wool and silk reinterpret three of Chillida’s works Preguntas (1994), Gravitasión Tinta (1996) and Figura Humana.

Through an interplay of artisanal techniques, fibre structures and varying pile heights, the new designs capture a moment of pause and contemplation of the world that Chillida continually sought in his work.

This striking artistic interpretation carries a shared human experience into textile form available at .

After ten years on the market, Czech leather handbag brand entered a new chapter.

Over the past year, we worked closely with the client on redefining the brand’s strategy, visual identity and communication strengthening its position as a confident brand for women who know what they want.

The launch of the new silhouette, Scala inspired by architecture and Italian craftsmanship together with a silk twilly, became the natural milestone of this transformation. Its campaign created by us defines the brand’s renewed clarity and ambitions.

Revisiting an Icon

Teresa by , designed by , stands as a quiet icon of contemporary lighting. Its gently unfolding arcs, reminiscent of petals in bloom, diffuse a warm and intimate glow that brings softness into space. In an era defined by sharp minimalism and visual noise, Teresa feels strikingly relevant and reminds that true design longevity lies in emotion, fluidity, and character.

Revisiting Teresa today is not about nostalgia, but about reaffirming values that endure. Crafted from recycled material and shaped through advanced industrial technology, the lamp reflects a conscious approach to production without compromising its sculptural elegance. Its organic silhouette and refined palette allow it to move effortlessly between interiors and generations, proving that some designs do not age — they mature.

The Haoto collection inspired by the harmony of nature

One of the most resonating highlights from our all year PR service for Czech glassworks definitely was the Haoto collection, created in collaboration with .

The six-piece set of minimalist glass objects combines cylindrical shapes with a unique detail – the imprint of a leaf vein on the bottom of each piece. The name Haoto can be translated as “sound of leaves” and refers to the delicate natural motif that permeates the entire collection.

“I wanted this collection to evoke a sense of calm, intimacy, and quiet reflection. When we hold a glass, it becomes an extension of a personal moment—sharing a drink, arranging flowers, or simply pausing to appreciate something beautiful,” says Kengo Kuma.

COLLABORATON
JAVORINA & KNIT-ART

& .art.cz joined forces in a creative collaboration under the artistic direction of textile artist Mikuláš Brukner. The partnership resulted in a limited edition of “furniture knitwear.”

The side table skirt and bedspread were produced using a jacquard knitting technique from 100% merino wool in a Czech knitting factory, reflecting the shared values of both brands: craftsmanship, high-quality natural materials, and innovative technologies.

Artspeak had the opportunity to play an initiating role in bringing the two clients together. A collaboration built on sensitivity, quality, and comfort, with potential to evolve over time.
