I was making online courses for the last two years which still required selling myself ... or the course or the content or the results, whatever we call it.
In online course business, I was selling one mini course, 6 weeks course and a 4 month course. The strategy is to bring as many people as possible in your facebook group and your email database, through paid facebook ads and loads of free content over 1 year and loads of videos. Then you sell in free webinars or email campaigns or in the group or challenges... It is a lot of work, most of it is not coaching at all!
But this is not what I wanted to share today (if you are thinking of going into online courses business, I can give you a good overview of what it is - contact me for a 1-1 consultation).
I decided to have a break from this strategy and went back to 1-1 coaching sessions again. There, I can give my best and really support the person in front of me. In real, honest, raw conversations.
I am about to make a proposal to a prospect client, with whom I had 2 sessions, without mentioning money so far.
When we finished the second session, I simply asked: Would you like me to help you with this (what we discussed) and have more conversations like this? He went on for a bit saying this and that... not giving me a YES or NO... so I asked again. Would you like me to help you with it?
Then I got the answer YES and we agreed to connect in two days so I can talk him through the conditions, as he called it.
After two years of NOT proposing F2F, I admit, I am a bit nervous :)
But if I don't ask, I don't get and he will struggle with his situation.
Go out, connect with people, invite them to a conversation for free, serve them, ask them if they want more of that magic.... and offer your packages (x months, money upfront, in full).
Let's go together.
