Max, you will be deeply missed.
This selfie came from Max during one of his ultra adventures this May. Smiling, as always. Spirits high, no matter how far he had already ridden.
Max was one of our longest-standing ambassadors. But somewhere along the way, that word stopped describing our relationship.
He became our friend.
Four years ago, he bought his first saddle from us. From then on, he gave us countless hours of honest feedback, challenged our ideas and was often the first person we called when we had something new to test.
Through Max, we also got to know Lisa.
Our thoughts are with her, Max’s family and everyone closest to him. We wish them all the strength in the world.

One of many adventures we followed, discussed and planned together.
With Max, there was always another route, another race, another idea somewhere on the horizon.

He cared deeply about the people around him.
Then came one of Max’s craziest ideas.
Last summer, he told us he wanted to attempt a Triple Everesting world record on his home climb outside Salzburg.
Our crew stayed with him through the entire effort.
Those hours showed us another side of Max: his extraordinary resilience as an ultra-distance racer, but also his warmth, humour and humanity when things became incredibly hard.
It is a memory we will carry with us forever.
That Triple Everesting became a documentary.
Today, it means something entirely different to us.
It captures Max doing what he loved, surrounded by people, pushing himself beyond what seemed possible.
The film remains on our YouTube channel, and we’ve put the link in our bio for anyone who would like to spend a little time with Max again.
It is difficult to find words for someone whose absence feels this big.
Thank you, Max, for the trust, the kilometres, the ideas, the honest fe
