On Friday our CMO Robert Demmer presented Zuri's role in VITOLMINS at EUSPA - EU Agency for the Space Programme in Prague, during a visit by the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy.
Zuri is building a hybrid-electric tiltrotor aircraft for regional air mobility. Six seats. It takes off like a helicopter, flies like a plane, with a range of around 700 kilometres. For passengers, cargo, medical missions, and defense.
VITOLMINS, a Horizon Europe project, works out how aircraft like ours can take off and land safely, in any weather, at vertiports and existing airports, using Europe's own space programme: Galileo, EGNOS, and Copernicus. Honeywell is developing the navigation. Zuri provides the aircraft.
It will all be integrated into our full-scale demonstrator, Technology Demonstrator 2.0, which makes its first flight at the end of this year, then validated in flight in the Czech Republic in 2027.
A European aircraft, using European satellites, European data, and European standards.
