Zuri is at CASSINI Entrepreneurship Days in Prague today and tomorrow, the EU space startup event run by the European Commission and EUSPA.

Our aircraft will use Galileo and EGNOS, Europe's own satellites, to take off and land safely in zero visibility, which is why an aircraft company is at a space event.

Founder and CEO Michal Illich and aerospace engineer Tse Lin are at the Zuri stand at La Fabrika in Holešovice. Come and say hello.

This October, Zuri is heading to Augsburg for AIRTEC, DefenceTec and Counter-UAS.

We are building an uncrewed hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft for civil and defense operators: a hundred-plus kilograms of cargo over hundreds of kilometers, no runway needed, and one operator in command from the ground. Routine resupply to a platform, an island or a forward position, or an unplanned deployment where something has to arrive quickly without putting a crew on board.

Our full-scale demonstrator is in ground test in Prague now, with first flight planned for Q2 2027. Designed and built in Europe. ITAR-free.

Last week Michal Illich and Daniel Majewski represented Zuri at Future Aero Lab's Lab Session #29 in Hamburg: a 60-second pitch, five mentor sessions and an open discussion with every mentor in the room. Thank you to the Future Aero Lab team and mentors for the direct feedback.

The European Commission has awarded a Horizon Europe Seal of Excellence to Zuri's hybrid tiltrotor demonstrator proposal. Following evaluation by an international panel of independent experts, the proposal "was recognised as a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation process."

The Seal is the EU's quality label for proposals that met all evaluation thresholds. It carries no EU funding.

Three things had to be true before the engine for Technology Demonstrator 2.0's hybrid-electric powertrain could move to full-power testing. We checked all three.

That it runs correctly after delivery. That the oil and water cooling we designed around it holds at idle. And that the sensors we added, which talk to the engine's controller, read correctly. They do.

In the aircraft, this engine never turns a rotor. It drives a generator, and the electricity does the flying. It runs on AVGAS, regular automotive gasoline, or bioethanol.

Yesterday we ran the engine at the heart of Technology Demonstrator 2.0's hybrid-electric powertrain on our test rig in Prague.

Our team flew an experimental configuration last week on one of our subscale aircraft, three meters across the wing: hover, transition and wing-borne cruise in a single flight.

TD 2.0, the full-scale demonstrator, flies in early 2027. The work in between doesn't stop.

Before a propulsion unit goes to the airfield, it runs here.

A unit on the test stand in our Prague hall, under power and wired to sensors, with two of our engineers watching the numbers rather than the propeller. It is the check that earns it a trip outdoors.

Technology Demonstrator 2.0 is in systems integration and ground test. Full RPM comes next, at the airfield.
