Humanoid robotics have accelerated in the last few years and prices are going down. The point at which they will become mass products will be in a few years. It will change our world in many good ways. Dangerous jobs will most likely adapt this technology first but the mass market is classical pick and place tasks in warehouses and supermarkets. Humanoid robots will also be assembling themselves.
At the right price all manual labor could be eliminated.
Who is going to win the race to mass produce humanoid robots? It is most likely that the Chinese will win this race and it will be interesting to see how policy makers in different regions will react, Even more interesting is how society reacts to humanoid robots.
