Gemeinsam mit unserem Team waren wir zu Besuch bei earthbound! Bei einem Rundgang durch ihre Produktion in Berlin, am ehemaligen Flughafen Tegel, konnten wir die Herstellung ihrer Lehmbaustoffe kennenlernen.
Earthbound verarbeitet regionalen Baustellenaushub zu Lehmsteinen und zeigt damit, wie vorhandene Ressourcen wieder in den Baukreislauf zurückgeführt werden können. Die Steine werden formgepresst, ungebrannt und ohne Zement hergestellt – ein spannender Ansatz für ressourcenschonendes und kreislaufgerechtes Bauen.
Besonders interessant war für uns, den Weg vom Aushubmaterial bis zum fertigen Baustoff direkt vor Ort zu erleben.

Together with our team, we visited earthbound! During a tour of their production facility in Berlin, at the former Tegel Airport, we were able to learn about how they manufacture their clay building materials.
Earthbound processes regional construction site excavated material into clay bricks, demonstrating how existing resources can be reintroduced into the construction cycle. The bricks are mold-pressed, unfired, and produced without cement—an exciting approach to resource-efficient and circular construction.
It was especially interesting for us to see firsthand the process from excavated material to finished building material right on site.
