Climbing for a Better Future

08/10/2026

With our passion for climbing, we can do more: we can have a positive impact on the world.

Since 2023, we at .climbing have been supporting with our donations.

They travel the world building climbing walls in schools and public spaces, and bring climbing to communities that wouldn't otherwise have access to it.

We also think that we should support each other, and all the other people and projects trying to do something good for the planet and its people.

Follow us both if you feel the same :)

P.S. "Just last week" was actually January. It only took us 9 months to make a reel 😅

.climbing presenting our Partners:
Boulderhaus Darmstadt

When our ambassador Ole .reusch told Simon from the Bouldehaus about us and our mission, Simon immediately reached out and asked to work with us.

And so the Bouldehaus Darmstadt became the very first client to come to us, rather than us coming to them.
And that was simply because they liked our mission and wanted to support us. We couldn't be more grateful!

It is so motivating to see that people are moved and inspired by our vision and want to get involved to do their part.

So if you're in Darmstadt, visit the Boulderhaus and try out their state of the art boulder problems, lots of beasts like Ole and Simon train there so you'll find challenging stuff.

And while you're there, visit their shop where you can choose to support us by buying our chalk ;)

Last week we donated 500€ to Miracle Feet :)

This donation was suggested by our Ambassador Petra Klingler who is actively working for this charity.

Miracle Feet is a global organization dedicated to providing treatment to children born with "clubfoot" in low- and middle-income countries.

Clubfoot is a birth defect that causes one or both feet to turn inward and down. If not treated, it will disable the affected person for life.

9.75 million people alive today were born with clubfoot.
As many as 8 million never received treatment.

We are very happy to be able to contribute with our small donation to help Miracle Feet provide the treatment to people around the world who can't afford it.

THANKS to everyone who supported us and made this possible 💜

Especially all our Partners for choosing to work with us:

.climb .ch .mole.sports.academy .chalkbags .pt

And to all our Ambassadors for spreading the word:

.caterin.born .reusch

Love you all 💜

.climbing presenting our Partners: Ostbloc

Ostbloc and its owners, Lutzt and Jacob, are a big part of the history of the climbing scene in Berlin.
Ostbloc was one of the first gyms in Berlin to have the "modern" look and we still remember being blown away when we first walked in almost 10 years ago.

Since then they have continued to innovate and raise the bar, probably indirectly encouraging the healthy competition that exists between Berlin's best gyms.

Located next to the river Spree and basically in front of one of Berlin's most famous clubs, Ostbloc is a symbol of Berlin's lifestyle.
You can feel it especially in summer when you can chill out or dance some techno (there's always a DJ on Thursdays) on the grass between the gym and the canal, watching one of Berlin's best sunsets.

Raising the bar also means trying to make things right and fair. So when we approached them and they realised what our project was about, they didn't hesitate to support us.

We've spent a lot of time at Ostbloc and we're really looking forward to working with them :)

.climbing presenting our Ambassadors:
Petra Klingler

When Petra started following we couldn't resist the temptation to ask her to be our ambassador.

She replied, saying she admired our work and had an idea for cooperation.

It turns out that Petra is not only one of the strongest climbers in the world, but she also works in the board of a charity: Miracle Feet

Miracle Feet is a global organization dedicated to providing treatment to children born with "clubfoot" in low- and middle-income countries.

Clubfoot is a birth defect that causes one or both feet to turn inward and down. If not treated, it will disable the affected person for life.

Guess what? Petra was born with it. She recognized her fortune in being born in the right part of the world where she had access to treatment. So she decided to help those who aren't as fortunate.

So, like us, she has taken action to give back and help people.
And so we share both the passion for climbing and the desire to have a positive impact on the world.

It's a perfect match 💜

We can't even begin to tell you how thrilled we are to have Petra among our ambassadors.

When we asked, we didn't even expect a reply... Instead, we were once again surprised by how kind and down-to-earth world champions in this sport are.

She is yet another proof that the climbing community is made up, for the most part, of really nice people.

****

You will find us both at the Valleorco Climbing Festival , and although we are competitors, we have decided to take a different approach ....

And f**k market logic!

Because we both respect and love each other's projects, and we like to do things differently anyway ;)

So at Valleorco you can choose to buy very pure and sustainably produced chalk from the Lazy Ghosts , or you can choose to do a good deed and buy Skalo's chalk .climbing , knowing that the profits will be donated to charity.

Either way, it will be the right choice!

Of course, you can buy both - chalk doesn't expire anyway ;)

.climbing presenting our Partners:
Afrikat .chalkbags

When Katharina wanted to add chalk to her offering of amazing chalk bags, she reached out to us. We couldn't be happier!

Both of our projects are active in the prolific Berlin climbing community, and we were already aware of each other.
Katharina felt that our vision and mission were a perfect match for her high-quality, handmade chalk bags, so she contacted us.

After a chat, it didn't take long to realize that our values and ideas were totally aligned, and supporting each other felt like the right choice.

Kat makes some beautiful chalk bags out of a unique South African fabric called ShweShwe. They are colorful, detailed, and... well, different.
If you don't already have a chalk bag or are looking for a present, be sure to check out her work!

.climbing presenting our Partners:
South Rock

If you want to climb with a rope in Berlin, South Rock is one of the best options you have.

The gym has the highest walls in Berlin, plenty of autobelays, beautiful outdoor walls, and a gorgeous sauna as well.

Boris, the owner of the gym, is an absolute climbing fanatic, and he is putting all his passion into making the gym the best in Berlin.
You can definitely see his efforts.

When a mutual friend introduced us (thanks again ), Boris was easygoing and really friendly. And he immediately loved our concept and didn't hesitate to give us his support.

So another beautiful cooperation started, and now you can find our chalk at South Rock, but more is coming ;)
