Based in Berlin, KNAUER is a medium-sized, owner-managed company that has been serving the sciences since 1962. We develop and manufacture scientific instruments of superior quality for liquid chromatography systems and components, including:

With 130 employees, we are an established manufacturer of HPLC systems and components. Our valves, pumps, detectors, and other components are used for many separation processes outside of HPLC and are popular with customers who want custom solutions (OEM). KNAUER is an ideal partner for those who want more than standard solutions can provide. Osmometers for the determination of molality were the first products of the family business and the cornerstone of its success. KNAUER continues to develop and manufacture industry-leading osmometers. Furthermore, the KNAUER Academy offers courses on HPLC and application development. Im November 2026 startet wieder unsere HPLC Basics & Troubleshooting Schulung – eine praxisorientierte Weiterbildung für alle, die ihr Know-how in der Hochleistungsflüssigkeitschromatographie gezielt ausbauen möchten.
Die HPLC zählt zu den wichtigsten analytischen Trennverfahren im modernen Labor. Um reproduzierbare und zuverlässige Ergebnisse zu erzielen, sind ein solides Grundlagenwissen sowie ein sicherer Umgang mit typischen Fehlerquellen entscheidend.💡

In der zweitägigen Schulung erhalten die Teilnehmenden einen umfassenden Einblick in die Grundlagen der HPLC, den Aufbau eines HPLC-Systems sowie relevante Systemkomponenten. Neben theoretischem Wissen steht vor allem die praktische Anwendung im Fokus:

• Aufbau und Inbetriebnahme eines kompletten HPLC-Systems
• Analyse und Behebung typischer Fehlerquellen
• Praktische Übungen in kleinen Gruppen
• Vertiefung des Verständnisses chromatographischer Prozesse

Great conversations, valuable connections, and strong interest in innovative HPLC solutions! 🚀
LAB-SUPPLY Berlin was a fantastic and well-attended event, bringing together around 1,000 visitors and 159 exhibitors at the Estrel Convention Center. The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, explore the latest developments in laboratory and analytical technology, and connect with customers and industry professionals.

🎤 One of the highlights of the day was the presentation:
“knauerOS – HPLC Software Reimagined! Does It Really Have to Be So Complicated?”

The session attracted a large audience and generated lively discussions around the future of chromatography data systems. The presentation challenged common assumptions about HPLC software and explored how modern data analysis can be both simple and powerful.💻

With its browser-based CDS architecture, knauerOS eliminates complex installations and user-based licensing limitations while providing the flexibility required for research, QC, and GMP-regulated environments. Attendees showed particular interest in features such as seamless collaboration, remote access to chromatographic data, integrated CFR 21 Part 11 compliance with full audit trails, and fast, hassle-free software updates directly through the browser.

Throughout the event, the KNAUER team had many valuable conversations with customers, partners, and laboratory professionals. Biodiversity starts right outside our front door🌼🐝
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming numerous guests to our headquarters in Berlin-Zehlendorf for an event hosted by the Berlin Biodiversity Alliance, focusing on how companies can transform their sites into biodiversity-friendly and climate-resilient spaces.

We were delighted by the inspiring exchange with representatives from business and politics, including State Secretary Andreas Kraus from the Senatsverwaltung für Mobilität, Verkehr, Klimaschutz und Umwelt, representatives of the Berliner Regenwasseragentur, IHK Berlin, Berliner Stadtreinigung, Fraktion Bündnis 90/Die Grünen im Deutschen Bundestag, DAUCUM – Werkstatt für Biodiversität – Planen, Beraten & Forschen, Diakoniewerk Simeon GGmbH, DIHK Service GmbH, Fachverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau Berlin u. Brandenburg e.V., Kluge Dienste, Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin, VINCI Construction, NIRGENDWO Umweltbildungs- & Kulturort, MTS Systems Germany, Bio-Balkon, and other representatives of sustainable businesses. Together, we discussed the future of Berlin as a business location and the opportunities sustainable business practices create. 🌱
