Did you know boiling water can ruin a delicate green or white tea?
We put it to the test – same tea, two temperatures. The difference in color, aroma and taste is something else.
Save this if you love a good cup of tea.

Green tea isn’t something you drink only for your health.
It’s genuinely delicious — calming, gentle, and a small moment that feels good every day.
Fresh, smooth, and naturally comforting.

Three iconic teas from Japan, India, and China – all from the same plant.
Sencha, Darjeeling First Flush, and Bai Mu Dan show how culture, craft, and tradition shape flavor.
A moment of calm, a sip of Asia.

Green tea doesn’t get better with longer steeping.
Too much time releases too many tannins — and the freshness disappears.
Shorter steeping brings out the best flavor,
without losing any of the tea’s natural benefits.

Darjeeling responds so delicately to temperature.
At 85°C the leaves open slowly, giving a clear golden cup.
At 100°C everything becomes deeper, darker, more intense.
A small change — a completely different tea.

Green tea isn’t caffeine‑free — but its energy feels completely different from coffee.
Gentler. Smoother. Longer‑lasting.
A calm kind of focus that stays with you.

70°C vs 100°C — How Water Temperature Changes Your Sencha. Visit chamingtea.com

A small change in water temperature can completely transform your Japanese green tea.
At 70°C, the fine needle‑shaped leaves unfold slowly and stay vibrant green.
The liquor becomes clear, bright, and fresh — sometimes with a hint of yellow.
At 100°C, the leaves open instantly and release much more color.
The infusion turns darker, cloudier, and loses its natural brightness.
Even visually, you can sense that the tea won’t taste as fresh as a proper Japanese Sencha should.

Many people think all green teas taste the same — but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Japanese green teas are steamed, which gives them fresh, grassy, umami‑rich flavors.
Chinese green teas are pan‑fired, making them sweeter, softer, and sometimes slightly nutty.
Same plant — completely different results.
When someone says they don’t like green tea, it usually just means they’ve only tried one style.

More tea on chamingtea.com

There’s this quiet moment in the morning, before emails start, before the world gets loud again.
That’s when I make my first cup of green tea.
When you brew truly high‑quality tea leaves, the taste isn’t bitter — it’s naturally sweet, clear, bright, almost like a breath of cool morning air.
That first sip sets the tone for the entire day: calm, focused, refreshed.

In this short, I show you how green tea unfolds when you give it the right water, the right temperature, and a little attention.

Many people think green tea is naturally bitter — but it’s not.
Bitterness only happens when the water is too hot, the steeping time is too long, or the tea quality is low.
With the right temperature and good leaves, green tea tastes fresh, smooth, and aromatic.

Ten years ago, I lived in Beijing — and that’s where I discovered tea for myself.
Not as a big ritual, but as a small moment of calm in everyday life.

White tea has been with me ever since:
wonderfully light, uncomplicated, and still somehow special.
For me, it’s still the perfect tea to calm down.

In this video, I share my personal story behind it.

You can find all teas at chamingtea.com – link in bio.

Ten years ago in China I discovered what good tea really means. Back in Berlin I founded CHAMING – with the goal of sharing high‑quality tea with as many people as possible.

For my selection it’s not just about taste:
1. Grown without pesticides
2. Crafted by experienced tea farmers

Right now I’m choosing new teas for the website – Green, White, Black, Oolong, maybe even Pu‑Erh. Tell me in the comments which ones you’re most curious about!

What a CHAMING tea!

Since launching in Berlin and Shanghai the CHAMING tea brand has developed a distinctive and modern language of enjoying tea. Bold, intuitive and refined, its aromas of asian teas and traditions are unique internationally. With each collection CHAMING adapts its own personal tea style to the needs and desires of the international connoisseurs who swear by the brand’s luxurious and exclusive scents.

Creating only the finest teas, blends and pyramidsachets, all CHAMING selections are developed at CHAMING’s studio in Berlin. The CHAMING Pyramidsachet collection is primarily handmade in Germany, whilst the Oolong collection is sourced directly from the finest tea gardens of Asia. The Loose Leave teas are expertly handcrafted in Asia, with the brand working directly with a variety of specialised local tea gardens and tea masters within the Asian region on the creation of the best teas.

As the CHAMING collections became ever more progressive, so this passion for innovation extended to the brand’s communications and creative projects. It launched www.chamingtea.com , a website offering both e-commerce and interactive content curated to provide a more intimate view of CHAMING’s tea design approach and working processes.

CHAMING started to have the first cups of tea sold in different teahouses and restaurants in Berlin – a collaboration with chefs and connoisseurs to transform a neglected beverage into a sensual destination echoing the dynamism and modernity at the heart of the brand.
