Zum Jubiläum erzählen wir unsere Geschichte im Radio. In vier Folgen bei Berliner Community Radios geht es um zentrale Themen, historische Momente und Zukunftsfragen der Clubkultur.
Folge 3 widmet sich der Free-Open-Air-Kultur, und blickt darüber hinaus: auf die Geschichte der Berliner Raves, Besetzungen und temporäre Freiräume, auf Model Spaces, Stadtentwicklung und Verdrängung. Im Zentrum steht die Frage, wie wir uns Räume schaffen, sie kollektiv aneignen und selbst gestalten können – und welche Rolle Free Open Airs dabei für die Berliner Clubkultur spielen.
Zusammen mit Jakob Turtur, Nikoll LE, Lulu in the Sky with Diamonds and Tra sprechen wir über vergangene und aktuelle Projekte der Clubcommission, die diese Art von Kultur unterstützen, und über die vielen Initiativen, Bewegungen und Räume, die darüber hinaus
entstanden sind.

For Clubcommissions 25th anniversary, we’re telling our story on the radio. Across four
episodes on Berlin community radio stations, we explore key themes, historic moments and
questions shaping the future of club culture.
Episode 3 focuses on Free Open Air culture, while also looking beyond: at the history of raves in Berlin, occupations and temporary autonomous spaces, Model Spaces, urban development and displacement. At the heart of the episode is the question of how we can
create spaces, collectively claim them and shape them ourselves — and what role Free Open Airs play in Berlin’s club culture.
Together with Jakob Turtur, Nikoll LE Lulu in the Sky with Diamonds and Tra we talk about past
and present Clubcommission projects that support this kind of culture, as well as the many initiatives, movements and spaces that have emerged beyond them.
