150 Years. The magic of Beatrix Potter!

This animated window display covers 38 meters of shop front of Fenwick Newcastle . The aim was to capture the many tales and adventures of Peter Rabbit and friends, the oversized books made the perfect setting. Characters were designed, based on the original illustrations and 3D animatronic figures were created. Time scale of this project was 9 months, OWS worked closely with Penguin Publishers and hands on with the prop and model producers, from the initial concept design through to the installation of the display on site.

How does your green sustainable future looks like? Pratik from OWS team answered for us.

Our world is trying to cope with constantly increasing energy demand. With the current energy crisis, the problem intensifies. The need for a carbon-neutral energy source and storage is the most pressing problem to solve for a sustainable future. Current lithium-ion battery storage options widely used commercially are neither carbon neutral nor sustainable in the long run. Many promising carbon neutral options like Aluminium batteries, rust batteries, water batteries, and liquid air batteries could potentially be game-changer technologies. The answer to a sustainable future is not in individual technology but collective technology. Different solutions for different scenarios will be our sustainable future.

How does your green sustainable future looks like? Eszter from OWS team answered for us.

Aeroponics, together with 3D printed food, can represent a solution towards a greener sustainable future. Aeroponics allow to grow fruits and vegetables in a controlled, safe environment without the use of soil and with limited amount of water and space. No pesticides are needed since we talk about a protected environment, in this way what comes on our plates is not dangerous or contaminated. It is also independent from the weather conditions: this allows to grow reliable amounts all year round. More and more aeroponic growth devices are found in private households too. Aeroponics is a good answer for a sustainable future: locally grown, clean and full of nutritious, requires less transportation, less packaging. Produces less emissions, requires less consumption of water and space and fits in any sense a sustainable future-oriented plant based diet.
