Topographies' journey began with ethereal shoegaze and dreampop vibes, evolving into a distinctive coldwave sound showcased in their debut album “Ideal Form” (2020). Their latest album "Interior Spring" continues the same theme. Immerse yourself in Topographies’ world, where icy drums, lockstep bass, and hazy shoegaze guitars converge to create pure magic, while Tolhurst’s introspective vocals guide us through a sonic landscape of passion and introspection. Originating in 2011 from the vibrant musical scene of Oakland, California, Some Ember has since become a prominent figure in the minimal synth and DIY communities across the Bay Area, Berlin, and now Los Angeles. Fueled by the dynamic collaboration with the remarkable Marisa Prietto (Bizoux, Wax Idols, Glaare), Some Ember’s performances are nothing short of dramatic, with the duo’s powerful voices and commanding presence taking center stage. Always exploring themes of immanence and renewal, Some Ember’s sound is characterized by a perfect blend of self-produced electronics, creating an immersive and danceable experience.
