mobilee welcomes back one of its core artists as SIS returns to the label with his
three-track EP „Nuna“. He’s long been part of the family, shaping the catalogue with
cuts like „The Get Down“, „Danzan“ and „Eric Dali“ — but his story reaches all the
way back to the foundations of a generation’s sound. Raised on the Turkish rhythms and
live instrumentation of his father’s musical world, SIS turned that heritage into a
signature that broke through with his Cecille hits and, above all, „Trompeta“ — the
gypsy-folk-tinged anthem that Ricardo Villalobos loved so much he released it on his
own Sei es Drum, until then a home only for Ricardo’s own productions.
Then SIS stepped away. He took a break to find his roots again and reconnect with the
original SIS sound signature that started it all. It’s a journey mobilee knows
intimately — we too took time out, reconnecting with the artists closest to us and
rediscovering the sound signature that will carry us into our next chapter. Two paths,
the same instinct: return to the essence in order to move forward.
A perfect symbiosis of two artists rediscovering themselves at the same moment — and
