Problems don’t exist. Really. Lets be honest here for a second….
The outside world doesn’t really pay attention to how we feel about the weather, or about paying our bills. Your landlord might though.
It’d be like you caring what an amoeba had for breakfast (if they even have that kind of norm)…
The fact is: It’s all in our heads. That’s great news! [We’ll get to why in just a second…]
Problems basically come from a difference between ‘life’ or things as we’d like to have them….and things as the way they are.
Now, perception plays a massive role here, but more on that another time.
Recently I heard this phrase “‘Shoulds’ are just arguments with reality”. Loved it. To clarify, ‘Shoulds’ are…
“I should be making more money, I should be happier with what I’ve got…I should..you should etc…”
…And really taking a second to ponder, have these ever served you well? Really, actually think about it.
They may SEEM like they could give you direction, to focus your attention on ways to earn more money for example, but do they really?
Generally speaking, and as someone who specializes in people’s problems and solutions, they do not.
They are misaligned thought patterns that lead us to believe that “If only that thing out there would be X, I could finally feel Y.”
Crazy as it sounds, though, that’s not going to change how you feel.
Ever had a lot of really great (what we generally perceive as such) things happen to you in a day, and still you felt down? Yeah, it’s not about the outside.
Our minds are truly magnificent and unfathomably powerful reality-creators, but sometimes they get caught on something…. like a piece of cloth on a hook….
So rather than tear it off, why not become aware of where its stuck, and easily lift it off the hook – no tears.
That’s the great part! You’re in control here, and with awareness alone – really just paying attention to these thoughts – you get back in the driver’s seat. Now isn’t that more comfortable?
You can only change what you know needs changing, so…congratulations to taking the first step! Let’s see where the ride will take you…

I’ll soon be posting some activities and mind exercises to do just that, so Like the post to stay in the loop, and if you can’t wait until then, send me a message and we’ll see what we can do.
