Congratulations to Dr. Kira Thurman -- her forthcoming book, "Singing Like Germans: Black Musicians in the Land of Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms," is featured as the first selection in Cornell University Press' 2021 Fall/Winter Catalog! This book is positioned at the confluence of history, German studies, and musicology, and everyone in those fields (as well as non-academics) will be better for reading it. And I'm not just saying that because I was the editor ;)
