"Can the team manager actually see the cashbox?"
Nobody asks that during setup. They ask it afterwards — usually the moment somebody has seen something that was none of their business.
Which is why this isn't one login for everyone, but a role per job. And not three of them, but eighteen: super admin and admin on the administration side. Coach, assistant coach, team manager, doctor/physio, teacher/psychologist, scout and manager in the staff. Player, external player and former player. Plus parent, reporter and fan.
That "former player" and "external player" exist at all sounds like detail — until the first player transfers out and you have to decide what happens to his data.
And now the part that really counts: **the role is only the template. You set the permissions.**
Per area you decide separately who can see something — and, apart from that, who may change it. The difference sounds small and turns out to be the decisive one at a club. Someone can see the squad without being able to rebuild it. Someone can see the fixtures without moving them. And whether somebody sees the team cashbox doesn't depend on their title, but on a permission you granted.
This is the part people skip during setup, because it looks like admin. Ten minutes at the start saves the conversation afterwards.
Next week we close the month with the group that gets forgotten most often: the parents.
