+ With Greta Thunberg and Fridays for future, a young generation awoke and decided to protest the inaction of governments in the face of the worsening climate crisis.
Since then, many new youth organisations have emerged with the same goal. Nevertheless, it is noticeable that this activism is not spread through all sections of the population. Especially disadvantaged youth have little connection to this topic.
With our project I-YES - inclusive Youth Engagement for sustainability, we want to empower youth workers to communicate issues of sustainability and climate justice to these young people.
Among other things, we are developing a website on which helpful work materials for youth work will be available for free.
For this purpose, we are collecting well-prepared working and teaching materials, podcasts, films, background information on the topics of:
